Chiropractic Physical medicine

One of the most common and well-known procedures in chiropractic medicine is spinal manipulation, also known as a “chiropractic adjustment.” These treatments can be used to improve joint motion and reduce pain. When utilizing chiropractic adjustments and physical rehabilitation you will see progression of your diagnosis through a series of consistent treatments for a short period of time, typically a month to a month and a half.

What sets Spine Science apart from other chiropractic practices? As a chiropractic physician, Dr. Schroeder uses a hands-on, drug-free approach to health and wellness. He has broad diagnostic skills and is licensed and trained to use clinical examinations, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging and other interventions in the evaluation and management of his patients.

Additionally, Dr. Schroeder utilizes a three-layer approach to optimizing movement. The first phase of care is the Return of Function (ROF), which primarily reduces pain and helps improve mobility. The second phase is the Restoration of Performance (ROP). The ROP process involves one-on-one treatment with a highly trained Spine Science specialist and integrates customized strategies to help optimize strength and physical performance. The third phase focuses on Ongoing Wellness, which typically includes monthly adjustments and check-ins to make sure your body is still working as efficiently as possible.

Physical Rehabilitation

Physical rehabilitation is an approach that often accompanies chiropractic care to assist with the limited range of motion to allow the body to develop efficiently. There is also a neurological benefit from the chiropractic care that can help the patient expedite the healing process when rehabilitation is in accordance with it. This style of therapy is carefully calculated based on the medical diagnosis to achieve the best outcome based results. With extensive post-graduate coursework in rehabilitation and numerous certifications regarding the movement sciences, Dr. Schroeder is an exceptional standout in the field of physical rehabilitation.

Corrective Exercise

There are often flaws in the mechanics of dynamic human movements, which, if not addressed, can negatively impact performance and cause pain over time. Corrective exercises are applied to an individual who needs specific muscular activation or to utilize a better length-tension relationship to achieve optimal motion. To successfully evaluate his patients, Dr. Schroeder utilizes a seven movement screen to apply a baseline for treatment and then reevaluates progress at the end of each session to ensure progress is being made towards each patient’s ideal movement.
